Inked

So I went out with the girls again this weekend. Oh yeah, it was awesome! Instead of drinking and enjoying downtown Las Vegas we got tattoos. Just another part of the "Vegas experience", right? They were scheduled to get matching tattoos and I was along for the ride and completely indecisive. See Ive been wanting a tattoo for quite some time and have a few ideas of what kind of tattoos I want and where but never had the courage to actually get one. I have received so many different descriptions of what it feels like. I have a very low tolerance for pain y'all. After watching two tattoos get done before me I said "go for it" and here you have it.

I was extremely nervous but found this quite bearable. There were a few times where it was obvious something was happening but for the most part it was easy to just think of other things.

Fully outlined.

Adding color. Before leaving I had talked to J about what I would get if I were to get a tattoo. I knew I was going for a butterfly but nothing cartoony. My plan is to do something similar to this...but not the same as it will be going across my back, like this. I want to have the butterflies start out as tribal, including this one, bursting from Pandora's box and transitioning into realistic ones.

My first tattoo and butterfly.

The girls got matching tattoos in two different sizes on the middle of their backs. This one is about 3" tall.

And this one is closer to 6. Super cool and she barely even flinched.

  1. Yeah you can try and describe the pain to someone but they will never really know till they actually experience it. Aww I wish I would of known you were going, I would have gotten one to!
