Military Mondays-Family Weekends

This is the start of my new Military Mondays posts. I thought that it would be a great way to share information with others in the military as well as our extended family. This is also a great way for me to keep up to date on relevant info and learn coping mechanisms for our upcoming deployment. This lifestyle can be very stressful at times. I hope you enjoy these posts. I have some great ones coming.

Weekends are a great joy for us. They are most often the only time during the week we are usually all together. We love doing things outdoors and exploring our local area. Q-tip also likes to throw in a Mommy or Daddy day. Yesterday Q-tip and J went to see Shrek Forever After. I didn't have much interest in the movie personally, Animal is terrified of Shrek and Q-tip really needed some Daddy time. It turned out great for all of us.

That said we also love to travel, whether that be a mini holiday or a longer one. Memorial day weekend and the 4th of July are great times for a holiday. Long or short. We don't have anything planned for either of these times but Cedar Fair Entertainment Company is offering free admission for military both weekends. This sounds like a great mini holiday, especially since we were considering Knox Berry Farms for our last mini holiday but went to Sea World instead.
